I was honored to be presented a unique award from the Lithuanian Medical Association. On May 22, 2017, Dr. Liutauras Labanauskas gave me their “veliavenesys” award. This means flag-bearer, or more accurately, standard-bearer. The award was in appreciation for all that I have done in bringing Lithuanian physicians to the world’s attention. This is the first time that this award was presented.
