Chicago Gallery News and The Spoken Word

Chicago Gallery News is the primary source of information regarding the visual arts in Chicago. Today, in their weekly email blast, they featured my installation The Spoken Word as their headline. This is quite an honor for me. Also, this is the first time that an exhibit at the Lithuanian Center has been showcased. In the past, the newspaper, Chicago Tribune, ran a weekly feature called “Pick of the Week”.  That function has been taken over by CGN and their weekly headline listing. So, in all of metro Chicago, this installation was considered to be the art exhibit of the week!

On their website, CGN has three separate listings for my work. Please click on the title to go to the listing:

the installation Vieniems / Vien Jiems

The CGN editors were particularly taken by my videos of the two installations. They decided the videos need their own emphasis. Direct links to the two YouTubes are here: Libyan Sybil, Vieniems / Vien Jiems.
