Attack on Rockefeller Chapel, markers, colored pencils, gel pen on paper, 22 x 28 in., by Lori Couve, 2009
UNBROKEN art exhibit of Little City artists, Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, University of Chicago, October 2 – 30, 2009
When I purchased this piece, Lori Couve was a teenager who was affiliated with Little City’s Center for the Arts. She suffered from autism and was not able to speak. She communicated through her art. I have had a long-standing professional commitment to autism research and treatment. Also, I have a fascination for dinosaurs since childhood.
I purchased this artwork during the exhibit and proudly displayed it in my home for 15 years. With my recent move, and downsizing, I was no longer able to show it. In 2025 I donated it to Rockefeller Memorial Chapel (University of Chicago) where it will be permanently displayed.
You can see many details of this piece in my 2-minute YouTube video by clicking HERE.
