A really cool photography exhibit is currently on display at the Marijampole Cultural Center in Lithuania. These are photographs taken of my stone installation while awaiting the rising sun. The title of the show is Sacred Memory Writings (Palaimintieji atminties raštai).

On the eve of the Summer Solstice (June 21) five brave souls spent the night, huddling near a bonfire, awaiting the rising sun. This exhibit is of the photographs that Jūratė Ališkevičienė and Dovydas Stralkus took that night.

On the Summer Solstice, to stay up during the night and await the rising sun is an ancient pagan Lithuanian tradition.

The photographs are impressive. This exhibit runs through October 19.
