I was invited to speak about neurologic disorders in famous painters by the Neurology through Art and Time program of the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA). I gave this presentation on February 22, 2025. The moderators were Dr. Ingrid Tein, Director Neurometabolic Clinic, Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto and Dr. Philip Pearl, William G. Lennox Chair and Professor of Neurology, Harvard Medical School.
The artists that I discussed were Andrew Wyeth, Frida Kahlo, Andy Warhol, Hildegard von Bingen, Francisco Goya, Joan Miro, Francis Bacon, Henri Rousseau, Vincent van Gogh, Edvard Munch, and Mark Rothko. There are some very interesting stories and insights into the lives and artistic creations of these painters.
